Stephen Fitzgerald

Stephen Fitzgerald, President of the VR Business Brokers’ office in Savannah, has an extensive background in marketing, sales, management, operations, and acquisitions. Prior to opening the VR office, he was a Senior Vice President in The McGraw-Hill Companies’ Professional Publishing Group for 10 years. During his more than 25 years in the industry, he published over 3000 books and acquired eight companies or divisions.

From his acquisitions experience exploring many small to medium- sized companies, he learned just how many different ways there are to accomplish a single business task.

Leslie Fitzgerald

With nearly 30 years of experience, Leslie Fitzgerald brings to VR Business Brokers a broad background in all aspects of professional book publishing including product selection, development, production, marketing and promotion. For 13 years she was responsible for direct marketing and promotion to professional markets via the Internet; negative-option bookclubs; and shingleshot, catalog, and card-deck mailings. Prior to taking on marketing duties, she had experience as both a managing editor and director of acquisitions

David J. Alpher

Dave is a graduate of The University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Science degree. Shortly after graduation, he began a 32-year career with GTE Directories Corporation, an international company. He started as National Accounts Sales Representative and held various positions within the company. He retired as Vice President, General Manager of National Accounts. He was responsible for sales and marketing directed at the national marketplace. Additionally, he managed a multi-million dollar sales contract with a large independent telephone company. He was also on the ground floor of developing and managing a sales agency group to sell cable advertising for a new cable television provider.

Dave currently lives on Skidaway Island with his wife, Vikki.

Brian Judson

Brian Judson brings over twenty years of management experience to our office with a strong background in customer service, marketing, business development and human resources. He is a licensed securities representative. He is also a member of the Savannah Historic Review Board and a docent for the Telfair Art Academy and Jepson Center for the Arts.

Lukas Wargin

Lukas Wargin joins VR following 10 years of service in the United States Army. He is a recipient of the Bronze Star Medal while serving in Iraq in recognition of his positive leadership, extreme professionalism and exceptional performance. His military career included a wide range of responsibilities for military intelligence, leadership training, and professional development. Following his military service, he studied at the University of Illinois at Chicago.
